| So who am I? I was born and raised in southern California, in a decent suburb near Los Angeles. I have loved photography since my early teens, and I have wanted to be a published author since I was in 5th grade. I currently have a 500-page novel under my belt that I am busy trying to rewrite. I now live most my life in San Luis Obispo, California, where I attend Cal Poly State University. The California central coast is an amazing place; to me, it is the most beautiful place in California that is not a national park. But not only is the scenery gorgeous: I've also found God here, and there is nothing in the world more beautiful than that. If I had the choice, I would probably never permanently leave this place. That is, I'd only leave to travel and explore the world As to the nature of my photography, well, it's mostly nature. I use HDR now and then in such a way that it's not completely apparent that it's even HDR. I also love to experiment and try new things. I shoot architecture, I've done a few conceptual shots and series, I try to take pictures of people when I can (though they're usually just of me or people I know), and I love trying long exposure photography such as light painting. My gallery is full of variety, and I like keeping it that way. If you ever have any questions about my work, just drop me a note. I'd be happy to help you improve. I also love receiving feedback so that I can improve. My philosophy is, if we as artists aren't getting better, if we aren't moving forward, then we're just falling behind. The world is in need of newness. What better way is there to improve than by helping each other out? ~ B.S. Did you ever enter any pics in the new times? I checked out the winners but I wasn't sure if you were in there. Infact, I wasn't overall impressed with the final winners. Were you? That pic "Infant Galaxy" could've definitely won IMO. I'm thinking that I should've entered some this year afterall.

I didn't even see the winners . . . and I never got a call so I know I didn't win.
I don't even know where I can pick up a copy.
