How Can Life Be Dull?We must ask ourselves, How can life be dull If every single moment Is original? How Can Life Be Dull?

The Snow-white ManI look up and down the lane, Staring longingly at each and every Frosted, windswept window pane; I peer into each blessed hearth-warmed Home, into those fires burning ever So bright; I look into the sitting-rooms And gaze at those giant green firs Garnished in shining orbs of each And every hue; I see those Rosy-cheeked children, their soft Features bent into such sunny smiles, Their bellies bouncing with such Gleeful giggles as they run and Skip across shiny oaken floors, Over gold-and-red fringed rugs, and Again on oaken floors, then Into and outThe Snow-white Man

Oh ReflectionOh Reflection, Sometimes I cannot tell Whether it is you or I The liar. We are but A ripple away,Oh Reflection
Nearer in likeness Than the crow is To the raven.

The Voice in the SilenceJust as the tree in the heart of the woods Wonders, If I topple and fall from standing so tall, Will anyone hear my cry?The Voice in the Silence
So you lay in bed, alone, in the night Wondering, If I scream in my head till the world turns red Will anyone hear my cry?
But there's a voice on the wind, a whispered Wondering, If I give you a shove to show you my love, Will you ever hear my cry?

This LoveThat which cannot be seen by sight One must learn to feel within the heart; For in that realm the invisible becomes visible, In that realm the lost become found: True Love is but a teardrop away, A silent scream away, A head raise to Heaven away, A heartbeat away: This Love is a topsy-turvy and a helter-skelter, This Love is the great unbound Wild, The greatest adventure, And this uplifting of the soul, This fire of the spirit, This unfettered freedom, This grace, This love, Is my God.This Love
Lake Helen| So who am I? I was born and raised in southern California, in a decent suburb near Los Angeles. I have loved photography since my early teens, and I have wanted to be a published author since I was in 5th grade. I currently have a 500-page novel under my belt that I am busy trying to rewrite. I now live most my life in San Luis Obispo, California, where I attend Cal Poly State University. The California central coast is an amazing place; to me, it is the most beautiful place in California that is not a national park. But not only is the scenery gorgeous: I've also found God here, and there is nothing in the world more beautiful than that. If I had the choice, I would probably never permanently leave this place. That is, I'd only leave to travel and explore the world As to the nature of my photography, well, it's mostly nature. I use HDR now and then in such a way that it's not completely apparent that it's even HDR. I also love to experiment and try new things. I shoot architecture, I've done a few conceptual shots and series, I try to take pictures of people when I can (though they're usually just of me or people I know), and I love trying long exposure photography such as light painting. My gallery is full of variety, and I like keeping it that way. If you ever have any questions about my work, just drop me a note. I'd be happy to help you improve. I also love receiving feedback so that I can improve. My philosophy is, if we as artists aren't getting better, if we aren't moving forward, then we're just falling behind. The world is in need of newness. What better way is there to improve than by helping each other out? ~ B.S.
