It seems a sudden commotion has stirred up within the last few months regarding the end of the Mayan calendar. It is said that, on December 23, 2012, the world will end. If you're not yet aware, a movie is being made about this rumor. The movie, of course, is titled 2012. It's made by the same people who did Independence Day and Day After Tomorrow, so you know it's going to be incredibly far-fetched, but entertaining.
Until the actual December 23, 2012 comes around, we can only but sit, wait, and wonder what will become of our world. For those who follow the Bible, there is nothing to worry about, since it says that only the Father, not even the Son, knows the exact day and time the world will end. With this biblical evidence, therefore, the world cannot possibly end on December 23, 2012, for mankind does not and cannot know when the end will come.
This series of 12 images marks new territory for me as I attempt to present a common emotional state throughout them all, and tell a story in the process. I've always imagined the end of the world being silent and simple, like a foggy evening that simply comes, thickens, and hides away the world from sight until there is nothing more. Luckily I was blessed with such an evening on the night I took these pictures in Morro Bay, California. Please enjoy.
I really really love this, but honestly, I think it'd look even better without the darkened corners. I'm not so experienced in photography, so I'm wondering if that's an effect of the filters or something else?
Well, regardless, I think it's a great photo anyway. Nice job
It was extremely foggy. To get the color I simply did a 50% sepia filter layer and a 50% black and white gradient layer on top of that. Also added a slight vignette
Well, regardless, I think it's a great photo anyway. Nice job
I'm glad you like it anyway
