from The Raven:
Much I marveled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly, Though its answer little meaning - little relevancy bore; For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door - Bird or beast above the sculptured bust above his chamber door, With such name as `Nevermore.' ~ Edgar Allan Poe All my works are © B.S. The head angle is a killer, and is the cherry on top. Birds can look particularly silly looking more or less straight at you, or the graceful curve of the beak structure can be lost.
This one gives the neat sense of a smart and witty bird, attention rapt in plotting something.
I find this piece so gratifying and beautiful, especially as and avid corvid lover. A very professionally done piece all around!
