Picture taken in Montana de Oro State Park, California; water entering weathered pool from Pacific Ocean.

Long exposure at site using HOYA ND 8 and ND 4 filters simultaneously, then, in Photoshop, using the camera RAW file, combined 2 different exposure layers. No manipulation was performed, unless you call color curves manipulation, which I do not. (And my version of color curves is not actual color curves -- I use Photoshop Elements, which doesn't have that feature.) I did, of course, change the rock to blue to give the picture a focal point.

[EDIT 6/2/09] Fixed problems with blended layers.

The Spirit Pool by *LethArt Suggester writes: "The surrealism on this photo makes you stare it for long times and try to understand what you are watching.. But I think that this photo is one of those that we will never fully understand unless we have seen it on real life. AMAZING!!!" (Suggested by =JacquiJax and Featured by ^kkart)
